Machine Elf
Step into uncharted sonic realms with the Machine Elf, a fuzz pedal that fuses the legendary ferocity of the Big Muff with the raw, tube-esque grit of CMOS inverter gain stages.
The Machine Elf thrives on versatility. Its Clean Blend control lets you preserve the punch and clarity of your original signal, perfect for bassists looking to retain low-end definition or guitarists seeking articulate dynamics beneath the chaos. The Fat Switch injects low-end heft, while the Mids Switch offers a sculptable midrange—from scooped, to classic Muff, to a throaty mids boost. The Clip Switch, toggle three distinct clipping textures: the edgy bite of silicon 1N4148, the smooth openness of IR diodes, or the vintage-flavored snarl of low forward voltage BAT46 diodes, reminiscent of some germanium diodes.
Controls:
Volume: Master output level
Fuzz: Dial in from gritty growl to full-on sonic obliteration
Tone: Ram’s Head-inspired curve (my favorite!)
Clean: Sends dry signal to the output for punch and clarity
Mids Switch: Selects midrange voice—scooped, classic, or boosted
Fat Switch: Add low-end weight with a larger input capacitor
Clip Switch: Toggle between IR diodes, silicon, or Schottky clipping
Features:
Housed in a polished aluminum 1590BB2 enclosure
Top-mounted jacks for pedalboard-friendly layouts
True bypass switching for pure signal integrity
Requires 9V center-negative power supply (no battery option)
